The Pulaski Cadets is a federally chartered historic organization in the State of New Jersey. It's roots are traceable to the American Revolutionary War when Polish nobleman General Casimir Pulaski and his Legion helped General George Washington in the fight for American Independence. General Pulaski fought and died at the siege of Savannah in October of 1779. His Legion remained active till 1833. In 1833, Pulaski Legion was renamed the Pulaski Cadets.

In 1985, with assistance of the New York National Guard and the Centennial Legion of Historic Military Commands, The Pulaski Cadets were reactivated by Brigadier General Jan K. Krepa and Colonel Tadeusz Wieniawa-Dziekanowski.

The reason for The Pulaski Cadets is no longer military. The Pulaski Cadets' new mission is to inform and educate the world of the contribution made by individuals of Polish descent. The mission also extends into the preservation of the Polish culture and encouragement of Polish Americans to be proud of their heritage and legacy.

The Pulaski Cadets is an active organization. The Pulaski Cadet scholarship fund provides financial assistance to students regardless of heritage. The Pulaski Cadets also participates in public ceremonies commemorating General Pulaski's memory throughout the United States and in Poland.

We welcome and thank you for your interest in The Pulaski Cadets. If you wish to become a member, please see the Contact Us page.
